Dream It Achieve It Success!

The vision of the Soroptimist organization is to help provide to women and girls resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams. One of the ways that the Soroptimist International of Rancho Cordova & Gold River club achieves this by offering to domestic violence survivors receiving assistance from the Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center (SFJC) (https://www.sacramentofjc.org/), goal setting and career planning workshop.

We offered a workshop in April, May and June 2026 teaching long-term, short-term, and career planning skills and asked participants to complete a pre- and post-workshop survey about their outlook about each topic. After the June workshop, participants felt 23% better prepared and confident about the information they learned. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/MEE-DrtvgoI

500 Comfort Kits Stuffed!

In conjunction with the City of Rancho Cordova’s Spring Service Day, on 5/16/26 our club along with an ARMY of volunteers, stuffed 500 Comfort Kit tote bags with personal care and comfort items like a blanket, fuzzy socks, personal hygiene items, and personal care items such as lotion, nail clippers and an Emory board. These Comfort Kits were primarily given to the Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center to be given to domestic violence and trafficking survivors. Some were also given to the Rancho Cordova Police Department to be given to domestic violence survivors when they are sent on a DV service call.
